Via Allie Zigulis, I just learned that starting mid-April, 3Dconnexion’s 3D mice will be supported by Second Life, giving users a slew of new abilities. 3Dconnexion is a Logitech company, by the way.

i am working since some years with the space explorer, the big brother of space navigator. its very useful in CAD apps, also fun in google earth.
using this tool in google earth has shown that some love the tool, some can't handle it and quit the usage.
its no replacement for the mouse, its an additional tool on the other side of your keyboard. this makes it hard to switch back to keyboard, for advanced users using keyboard shortcuts this may be difficult.
so try it in the shop before you buy...
